i am writing this in a red lobster waiting for my food.
today my friend and i went biking, he was looking for some leathers since he recently got his motorcycling license.
we first went to a thrift store, we were there at noonish so there were still some okay nice things.
this time around my attention span went well and i did not constantly check my watch, though i wasnt in a time crunch so that may have helped.
we found some funny shirts and i bought two, my friend though found nothing.
we talked about the time and decided to go downtown to a flea market. i showed him a route from where we were which we havent been to yet, and we had some nice talks.
we talked about the interesting buildings and factories that we passed. we eventually made it back to sidewalks and busy roads where we saw a firebird, he really liked that.
once we made it to the market i worried about my bike being stolen and we went in. he was really thirsty and continued his now week long tyraid on how good mt dew is; it was pretty good though.
we skimmed through befote checking in on the leatherman. hes now a reoccurring character in out adventures, he smells like smoke and dresses like a flamboyant pokemon trainer, poison or metal.
as the name suggests, he sells leathers.
we looked around the nice jackets and tried them on, he found one particularly nice. it stuck with him but he was hesitant so we looked around. the leatherman insisted we bought it and used his sweet sales tactics he has plenty of times before.
we checked out the boots and my friend shared his distaste for harley davidson. i cannot relate so i shall not comment. when the leatherman was talking to my friend i noticed his keychain that had a raunchy photo of some lady. almost like lady gaga in her fireworks music video, but more scandalous.
mr leatherman then saw his hesitation and shared a story about some rockstore who lost his boots to a “volleyball chick who looked very healthy,” whatever that means… he ended up haggling, saying it was missing a zipper, the leatherman chopping five bucks off the $130 price tag.
we looked around some more and this dude named barry sucked his into his emporium of whatsits and whatnots. he shared a story about a whisky bottle that also played a music box. while he told my friend about the latest deals i was shifting through pokemon cards.
i squatted down and found some manga, like some really niche stuff. i kept looking since barry was staring at me and i didnt want to let him down. my eyes eventually led me to MANGA MESSIAH. THE manga messiah. without hesitation i bought it off him.
we biked home, taking turns wearing the heavy black leather jacket in 26 degrees.
i stayed at his place for a bit and had his banana bread cubes before i decided to head home
