today was a rare day id actually call “good,” partly because i only had one class.
today was cultural day so i got to dress up! i got plenty of compliments and many “ni haos” and bows, which is expected. first period was okay (and im just now realizing how much homework i have) but the fun started in second. the talent show kicked off. i wont get into too much detail but every band and performance was shockingly good! last year there were many hit or misses but this time around there was just one that was a snoozefest. the fashion show followed and i enjoyed that, all the dances and music was a highlight! afterwards we went outside for photos - hopefully this time i get them and not cropped out when posted. however, my people were in the middle of the group photo! i hung out with my friends for the rest of the lunch period - it had run for 2 and a half-ish hours. i saw my friend who needed help yesterday and talked to him.
i ultimately decided to skip the rest of the day after getting popeyes with my buddy; i had a church event in the evening.
speaking of which, it was my confirmation classes confirmation! i had a pretty fun time throughout the year and seeing them move on is pretty cool. it is my second year helping out and i feel like i have taken a huge step in being involved. ive moved out my comfort zone, greeting people at the door, talking and helping the parents, and even doing a reading for mass! the team at my parish are great people and i pray to work with them next year.
other than that, it was a good day. it was rather hot though, and i am pretty tired. my package came in the mail today and i got my necklace and ring, so that was also joyful.
i am really grateful for all the people in my life, i hope to live very long to see more people.
